Has anyone been to the promenade at seapoint lately?

I'm not feeling those statues they put up (not in the pic)

I think Lebogang took a pic of one.

They break up the walk way and they're all over the place!

    That watermark doesn't look good, too central/egocentric (it becomes the main element on the composition) , but maybe we shouldn't generalize about watermarks not being cool, maybe a watermark theme to explore the possibilities (and give an opportunity for buchu to redeem himself)?

    I was just playing around with the idea of a watermark,
    and having it as part of the picture, kind of like not just a
    watermark but integrated text/ title.
    It seems thats why peeps are not feeling it?

    Should a watermark be seperate fromt the picture/ out of site?
    Should we do a watermark theme?
    Should I quit photography and go back to a life of dolphin training?
    Has it become polite to boo fellow creatives, as long as its over the electronic realm?

    Buchu: When it comes to voicing an opinion I've never been polite, I've made some enemies like this but also a lot of good friends that appreciate honesty without beating around the Buch(u). I also think that only when you go straight to the point real discussion has some space, as long as the participants can be civil and open about it, it's how our minds get challenged. I appreciate the good humour, the watermark provocation and the way you've received the criticism, but still don't like that watermark and if you pay attention no one wrote a comment liking it... so maybe you should start getting a wetsuit and swim with them dolphins?

    um I've always been a bit slow, what is a watermark? I quite like the photo, maybe if I knew what a watermark was I'd be more critical. The only thing I'm not so keen on (Diaan you do it too) is people's names on the photo, I think it distracts. Oh is that the watermark...

    Oh and the watermark is also used to "protect"
    the image from downloading.

    @onelove Yeah, I have a watermark, but I keep it on the side of the image, not smack in the middle. If it distracts from the image then so be it, but I'm using it to help promoty myself. Since it's inevitable that images will be stolen, at least this way if my image lands up somewhere strange it stands a chance of leading the viewer back to my site.
