    A nice 1

the man's pose gives the impression that he's the captain of this ship (or is it boat?)

  3. Khumbelo

    shot!

    LOL!

That boat ride be scary yo! — but fun. I guess that's what they call adventure. But, that water level being close to the boat scared me.

    :-)

    @ sam buk - it was a boat definately not a ship/

@ lebogang. lol - it was scary! AND there were about 50 live chickens with their feet tied together on the seat right in front of me. THAT was scary.

Love this photo, it has that InhaMbane feeling... why scary though? Scary is being a pedestrian trying to cross streets in south africa... on the zebra crossing...

@UP coz, on a road you could run — on a boat, you'd have to swim — I can swim: but I don't think across a lake I can.

    *I need to stop smoking.

  8. Greer

@UP yeah and the boat was packed with people (and chickens) you don't get a sense of that from this pic - the ride was a little rocky but fun nontheless

One of the worst boat trips i ever made was in the north of mozambique, the wind changed on our way back (there were 3 storms coming together on the continent), no one could see a thing with all the water getting splashed on our faces, no one could understand each other because of the wind noise and the captain (?) was so fed up that after a while he gave up trying to go around the coral reefs, so he just decided to go straight and trust some higher omnipresence... I kept on trying to figure out how many km to the coast we would have to swim and if two of my heavy smoking buddies could make it...

    LOL!

    *smokers need love too. :-)

Intense! that really sounds like an 'adventure.' glad everything turned out ok though! I love Mozambique, and would love to keep going back there often.

@shy 1: please go to Mozambique Island, it's far but it's well worth it. I'm still looking for my photos from 2000, I'll post a few as soon as I find them...
