This is a project I'm working on with some youth from Khayelitsha in Cape Town. The theme is 'poverty does not define me', and we are painting murals in 3 different sites over the next few months. The kids decided to draw characters on the container wall talking about their dreams and aspirations. I heard some amazing, inspiring stories from young people who are redefining their life situation and empowering themselves in many amazing ways.
