knocked over. this is too powerful, too classical, too majestic, too beautiful. replaces all the incorrect and demeaning images of our people. youve changed history with this image. i can only hope more people get to see it. thank you.

I dont know, I am probably too urban, but everytime i see pics like these, I cant help but think its just a costume, you know, dressing up for a photo shoot and all but i am glad to know that there are still some tribes in Africa ( South africa in particurlar) out there still keeping it this real. But do they walk around in spears in shields as well. Nonetheless. Dope snap i shud say.

kenart.one: we don't consist of tribes. We're made up of Nations.
    Nations: as in multitudes.
Tribes: as in a family group.

    We Sir; are a Nation!

    re-definitions of tribalism and nationalism...

  12. NguJaz

ante e: me i think we've bought into the idea that African peoples are made up of "tribes" for far too long.
    BaTswana -- that's a Nation
    BaRolong -- that's a Tribe

    Le dikshinary ea SeKgowa yari:
    tribe noun
any aggregate of people united by ties of descent from a common ancestor, community of customs and traditions, adherence to the same leaders, etc.

    nation noun
a large body of people, associated with a particular territory, that is sufficiently conscious of its unity to seek or to possess a government peculiarly its own

  13. æ

"that is sufficiently conscious of its unity to seek or to possess a government peculiarly its own"

    ideally in the SA context...

the idea was bought beyond over-subscription... hence the re-def... mos-def
