We shall come through :)
Will try pull past ;)
Hi barnardinho, it's very generous of you but I'll only accept if I can give you a limited print of one of my photos, you can choose.
I've been wanting to experiment with medium format for a while. I'm used to 70's analogue cameras, I've been using a Pentax SP1000 and it was my first camera inherited from my father.
The only problem is that I'm in Cape Town, but I might have some friends heading south soon. I've already sent you a contact request on 75.
If you're ever looking for a decent little light meter let me give a big hat tip to the Gossen Digisix.

I've been using one since I got my Leica M2. You can get them for a very decent price from B&H in the States, although I'm pretty sure Kameraz in Jozi or Orms in Cape Town should be able to source one for you.
Pity I'm not in SA any more...I'd love to play with the Mamiya.
Well, you can't have it al Matt.
You can't live in Norway surrounded by bodacious Norwegian babes and get to play with a Mamiya.
I'm expecting the test roll back tomorrow so I'll see what results it produces. The interior seals are perishing, so there may be Holga-like light leaks. Apparently its fairly inexpensive to have them replaced.
Also I'll get a better idea of the accuracy of the lightmeter on my iPhone. I'll post reusults.
BTW - Uno is the lucky recipient of my old Bronica
Just for interest's sake, what model Bronica is it? I have a limited edition (military issue) green Bronica SQ-A, and it's one of my favourite cameras.
Hi Diaan
Just saw the recent upload from your Bronica. It's an S2A - whatever that means
Where do you guys get your film from?
I'm looking for a place where i can buy bulk film from?
Bulk film? for 35mm?
Kameraz might have, but not sure.
Ya for 35mm, I checked there last year and they didn't have.
Have you tried Orms? They're far more jacked in terms of catering to photographers' real needs. They're in Cape Town, but know their stuff.
I get a lot of my film from Orms. Their prices are good (okay, I do get discount because I'm a regular buyer) and they ship to any of the major cities. Shipping is about R150, so I usually buy a minimum of 10-15 rolls at a time.
Phone them - their numbers are on their website - and speak to a lady called Heather.
They don't sell film in bulk rolls though, as far as I know - if that's what you mean by bulk.
Gold mine find, thanks for the share matt :)
Awesome. I love people who make photography look easy. Unknown Scene is my favourite
This is dope! Checking out his work right now.
yes!
Good work!

I don't know that particular camera, but I do own two Lomo-style cameras, so it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.
Would be happy to help

I do A LOT of my own b&w development. You don't need a darkroom if you just want to develop the films yourself and then scan. You just need a changing bag or a light-proof closet to get the film from the roll (120) or canister (135) to the developing tank.
I prefer scanning the negs and then using the normal digital workflow from then on.

I'm actually leaning the other way, where I'm happy to have the film processed and then to get my hands dirty doing the prints in the darkroom. I spend more than enough time staring at a monitor

Hi Diaan. Are you in JHB or Cape Town? I enjoy film photography and would like someone to show me the ropes/basics in developing and processing black and white film. Any advice?
