Should photography depicting smoking be banned?
*I see a loophole for advertisers...
is this an early morning shot?
what astounds me are the early morning, 6am; freezing weather smokes.
My beef with advertising and smoking is that the powers that be only want to ban it as they think it will stop people from smoking. In reality, the government would hate that to happen, as they earn a nice little chunk of change from the tax that they place on the sticks.
People aren't sheep, do we see any adverts for Heroin or crack? Yet the amount of users are far higher than ever before.
Banning anything just leads to a natural desire to see why it was banned in the first place.
nysh shot...
Indeed!
daniel, i'm with you there
I don't know Bra Dan. I've known many-a-sheep in my day. For some people, the very idea that they can think for themselves is frightening.
what about passive smoking/ second-hand smoke?
what would be effective in curbing the 'trade' in second-hand smoke?
passive smoking/ second-hand smoke/ secondary smoke
Amusing terms those!
passive smoking is bad m'kay?

what i can never understand is smokers in cape town. These people allegedly LOOOOVE their city, and if they so much as see someone throw an apple core into the veld (which according to me is compost) they hoot and have a hissy fit. But they smoke and CHUCK THEIR STOMPIES OUT THE WINDOWWWW!!! what's the ashtray in the car for, HMM?
