the simple joys of childhood...
Eish, i remember those days.
hahahhaha do they still seell this stuff I wonder! A colleague of mine reminded me of something else the other day.
I was teasing him that he didn't have toys when he was growing up and he said, yeh - they used to play with bricks.
And I laughed out loud, used to do the exact same thing, play with bricks and pretend they were busses. And then we'd break the brick in half and pretend it was a car.
Ahhhhhhhhhh man, I miss those days.
Kids today just don't have a clue. Playstation? When you can play with real brick busses?
No contest.
Ha, ae, you've done something I have been planning to do --- problem is the kids tend to 'pose' the minute I pull out a camera, which looses the moment I wanted to capture.
Good on ya!
Aahh ae! What wonderful memories, spinning i-top, playing ama-ali, etc. Wonder if one can re-learn that stuff.
I was never good at topo, to be honest, I sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked --- but, 'di-ali' --- i rocked --- then in Morogoro, I learnt how Angolan's played ka di-ali --- was beautiful to come back to eMZantsi and show off what they (SAffican's) didn't know you could do with ali.
Quick ?: where and how did marble become 'ali'?
*anthropology anybody?
ha ha ha... brick cars... we've all been there... had the best conversation with a friend about brick cars, umendlwane (house),marbles, (I sucked at the spinning top too LN... I just sucked), how the only way you were gonna get any play was if you learned the girl's games like ushumpu.
good times... wouldn't trade them for Playstation. That's when I really learn how to be creative.
spinner!
i only learnt how to play tops when my little brother was born...
its sad- cause i kiss-ass ten years too late!
dope pic!
How i loved this game!
Dope shot!
diggin the framework...
yeah the pic brings back memories. i loved making kites with my brother but the best for me was him teaching me how to make a car with wire and copper. those were the days.
nice 1 ae
man, oh man, I was terrible at this but I'm sure the girls can relate to 'istory', using pieces of stone as characters in the story!1 heheh
@ blak unicorn- or drawing houses on a piece of paper with the names of those that live there n creating a story line until the page was shreded coz of the traveling and speaking. lol
eish matsatsi ao!!!
