    I'd like to know how you light these images ? There doesn't seem to be any other light source "polluting" the smoke...

    @khumbelo - yep, that is exactly how I did it, although I used my SB-800 flash in slave mode so I didn't have to fire it manually.

    Also, I tethered the camera to my Mac so i could see the images nice & large on the monitor vs on the camera display
