I did a series of portraits of fireman at the Joburg Central Fire Station about a month ago. I heard yesterday that this young guy had passed away (not in the line of duty). Hamba kahle Mandisi Mdonstwa.

    I dropped off a framed 8x10 at the station this morning. It was a different image - without the axe, and his helmet under his arm.
