Belhar is a neighbourhood that during apartheid (and after) was seen as an area for 'wealthy/middle class coloureds'.

I like this area today as it is a leafy suburb where home owners haven't yet succumbed to the allure of electric fences and high walls. You can still see your neighbour as you come home from work or school.  And you can find some interesting houses.

Word.
