detail has been lost in post production which for me has cheated what seems like a good composition.

gotta agree with sam on this. the image seems a bit washed out.
I hear both y'all are saying … alas I think there was another focus: eroding the detail of the sharpness of the image (ala: washed) and shift the focus into the entire image.
If it was sharp you'd see the detail: face, eyes, lips, nose, dress (which I am assuming is uniform) … etc: with all that detail, we would be forced to see segments of the image and contextualise them into whatever makes sense to us.
But this, we just see a happy child.
… a child, looking up at you. Which reminds me of my younger nieces and nephews.
:) thank you guys will take all that into consideration next time. I was trying to put the ephasis on her eyes only. I had a few choices of the same image in different styles, got help fromm friends and went with this one. :) we keep learning
going through some of your photography , i've realised that you have an appetite for what often call "inventive photography".
basically, you just try out different things all the time. i quite like that. For real.
:) appreciate that so much
