Fire broke out near my house, next to a construction site. On a day when the pure heat could easily have melted sand to create the spark needed!! Listening to the fire crackle, and spread to hectically - gave me goosebumps. It was spurred on by wind. And the worry was tangible. There were massive fields of dry dry long grass and old trees - all parched and perfect for burning, waiting for the fire. We were there briefly, and left once we had a few pics. More and more fire engines turned up, the building crew were dashing around helping, making fire hoses fit things, grabbing buckets, it was a bit hairy. My children picked up on it and started getting worried. So we left. This is one of the shots I quite liked - no fire in site, but ya.....
