prettier in pink

i have no idea what this flower is called. it blooms on a shrub-like tree and has varying shades of pink, from deep set pink to this very light, dusty pink. the colours are very candy-marshmallow looking and when the flower blooms, it has all these petals that drop of. i don't know where else i have seen this flower aside from where i live.
