Kili kids

Kili kids

Going up Kilimanjaro there are people who live in severe poverty at the base of the Kili National Park where the Tanzanian govt lets them farm - there were first 2 kids, then 3, then 5, then 7 - all of them appeared from between the towering mielie stalks. no adults in sight.

Abe? What are you on about,,, That is the saddest and most sadistic thing i've heard thus far on 75.

perfection! their wittle faces nice and round -- well nourished :-); it goes against all those talks of "hungry children in Africa" talks

Im lost for words. But again, the are kids like this who live in the shacks at home...

I agree with ngujaz, they look pretty well-nourished. They probably look uncared for coz of the dirt....but perhaps they were playing in the fields.

No adults? Probably coz they were working in the fields.

And the comment that South Africans are lucky, there are plenty of starving, abused kids in SA.....

For all we know, these kids may be happier than some of the children here in SA....

You know being poor aint always sooo bad as long as you have food, love and family. One can be poor but happy; or rich and unhappy. Sometimes the more money you, the mo problems you have....

All I'm saying is, I think there is more to this picture/story than has been read into it.

These kids are beautiful, pure and innocent. I hope life does not change them too much.
