I took this pic a few years ago, when I hiked the Whale Trail. Incredible diversity of flora and fauna. Never seen anything like it. From afar, everything looks ... well, like fynbos.
But get into the fynbos, and everywhere you look ... there are big things, and small things. This is a BEEG protea. The size of a dinner plate ...
