Everyone can tell a different story from this image. What do you see?
Stories told and untold….dreams shattered with numerous promises of a better tomorrow.
What is a “better tomorrow” if my today looks as bleak as my father’s yesterday under the Apartheid era?
“Kunzima langaphandle….iyofika nini nayo le taxi ngiyoboleka imali kumashonisa?”
That's what i see and more.....sad reality, but a lot have accepted it as what it is,questioning less and following up not on what they were promised.
Dankie...wonderful shot.
shot indeed....!
it's a sad sad reality Sthe...are most really still willing to fold their arms thinking the government has their back?
I believe so @ Story(by the way, what's your real name?)
Judging by the number of misinformed people from all over the provinces, it is hard not to believe what others are saying without you knowing what the Gov is doing or willing to do for them.
And the perception of entitlement is killing a lot of communities…..Just because we went through apartheid in S.A,that doesn’t mean we can use that trump card all the time to get what is “due” to us..!
Anyway….we all have a different perspective on how we see this….I love it nonetheless, very real and in your face kind-a-shot!
I tink although it is difficult to answer what are the results of economic investments Cup, it is feared that, with the return of populations displaced from Johannesburg and Pretoria to "clean up" the image of poverty during the World Cup, new hatch and violent social protests, claiming essential basic services like water, health, electricity and education.
True Palapala.....!
She gave in to her circumstances, taking each day as it comes.
@Sthe haha a lady never reveals her real name online
This is why I love images/ photographs! They tell so much more than words!
LOVE the flag in the background - brings this scene closer to home. Awesome storytelling!
