Porque o samba nasceu lá na Bahia

E se hoje ele é branco na poesia,

Ele é negro demais no coração.

* Because samba was born in Bahia

And if today it is white in its poetry,

It´s definitely black in its heart.

amazingly all 3 sections look way too similar, but all different, those windows for instance.

    Hello, hello!
Did you finally go to Bahia? Have you fallen in love with it?
    Keep well.

Hello Uno! Yes, I definitely fell in love with all of it. What a state, we went to so many places (we travelled from Salvador to Vitória, hitchhike and bus, stopping wherever we felt like) and yet there are so many places we didn´t go. And a very familiar Mozambican-like spirit, didn´t you think?

Yes, it does have a more mozambican feel to it than all the other brazilian cities I went to, it's not only the delapidated buildings and the climate, it's also a certain relaxed way of living, a friendly and open relationship with strangers that is difficult to find. Lovely architecture and cultural life too, a lot of great people came from there.
Did you go to the Solar do unhao by the sea? It was an intervention to a historical building by one of my favorite architects: Lina Bo Bardi (she also designed the Sao Paulo Art Museum, magnificent).
I liked the pelourinho but it's such a touristic attraction that it doesn't really make you feel you're totally in Salvador, it feels a bit like a theme park... I enjoyed exploring the rest of the city more. I went there in a very serious architecture expedition, I would like to go back in a less objective mood.
