love this spot.
love this spot.
I dislike that place,,, tourism and history don't gel well there.
Ngujaz?
when you say you love that spot,,, do you mean the area or that particular spot with the water-feature?
the water-feature area kotn; it's very otherwordly -- you forget you're in Orlando you know? I took some blk&wht imgs there some years back.
but i hear what you say about history and tourism. i'm thinking though ... what's tourism without history?
Yeah,,, what is history without tourism,,, natural wonders?
I suppose people want to see 'sites' that had some form of human activity, that led to something profound out of that activity. I suppose without history the idea would be then we have not achieved anything.
Alas, I can agree with historical monuments being important, but, buses filled with a gang-load of white/asians viewing the 'trife' life of Sowetans (and/or Alexandrians) is not cool, regardless of the economic value that service might provide the tour operators.
I find it disturbing, but that is not my 'rational' response, its an emotional one.
