Black _ Diamond

Black _ Diamond

Honestly i dont know who came up with his black diamond thing _ all i know is that i dont like it (or maybe i don understand it ). Well i believe that Creative _ Lifestyle works better for what they are trying to do. So what _ do you have to be black and holding a diamond to be a black diamond? That feels very limiting _ and i dont want to be put in a box.

just experimenting with panarama ...

Dude, you don't have to be holding nothing: the idea is that you are the diamond yourself, provided of course that you are black. Getting proper connections and tenders will not do your march to being a black diomand much harm either. See?

  2. George Gladwin Matsheke

well thats the thing - im not into tenders. So does that makes me less of a black diamond?

  3. ªßè®

No dude. Its not about the tenders. You need to have a healthy bank acc, a 1milPlus house or be able to afford 1, a healthy credit rating, be in a position to make and affect business decision and highly marketable..... And speak an optomistic language, no ifs and less butts.

  4. George Gladwin Matsheke

ok. So according to your discription im not a black diamond. i dont have "a 1milPlus house or be able to afford 1, a healthy credit rating, be in a position to make and affect business decision and highly marketable"

Ah yes, I knew Mr Nkoane would straighten this out - you guys should really read Away.

Would you Lebogang reserve yourself if you were one? Wouldnt u instead wanna exploite such luxury. I guess we all studied hard and shit, I wasnt getting up @ 03-00 to study to gain just a black conscience and pretend that i dönt like accecories and materials. I could have opted to stay at a convent if i wasnt material driven.

a wabo! You are not being fair here, G.G asked for the definition of BD. You didnt give him such an answer. I just tried to paint him the picture and tried not to take away anything from such classified. Moreover i dont see myself as one. Now reverting to the subject could you please GG the definition of Black Diamond. Werent you at Europa ysday around 12pm-13pm with some white dude?

  8. ªßè®

but your explanation exclude the self-starters and maybe undermines them as true prolific enterpreneurs which the term refers and covers such as well. Thats what you omitted. lebogang would you pass an offer if you'd be used to market a legitimate campaign that u dönt necessary give an input to? Lets say a couple of thousand rands!

Black Diamonds is a fantastic new front for blacksploitation. The people who did the survey are making millions selling the research results to who.... (drum roll).... marketers and advertisers!
Abe your definition for black diamonds has to be second hand. The research actually calls anybody who earns 7g and above after deductions and uses their access to credit a 'black diamond'. It then goes on to map out their daily/monthly/yearly routines, their priorities and the likes so that marketers and advertisers (pretty devils) can know when and how to sell them stuff they don't really need.
Apparently, the research was done because 'blacks' felt wronged by the media's constant misrepresentation of them.
    *sigh*
of all the planets i've been on, this one is by far one of the most entertaining...

Black Diamond is merely a signifier. And signifiers by their very nature seek to make abstract the substance of the organic and into a representation of the real thing. It is by no means the "real" thing [recall René Magritte's LA TRAHISON DES IMAGES (THE TREASON OF IMAGES].
Advertising thrives on Market Segmentation. It ain't pretty. But how else is the Art Director posed to get his j.o.b. done if he don't convey messages to a personification of a market.
You don't have to subscribe to it if you don't personify it. Or sell it.
