my love for photography and my love for music, (epecially jazz music) is intertwined. i first started taking pics at the jazz gigs i went to - and then i really just wanted to capture the feeling and the moment rather than create a well composed picture. i met an elderly photographer at a jazz event and he got me to think about light and composition and lenses and cameras. he taught me about f-stops and shutter speeds when all i knew about was the Auto function. he inspired me to find out more, and do more and take more and more pictures, trying to improve myself with each shot.
This is one of the first B&W pictures I took with my canon rebel film camera using fully manual settings.
