chasing dreams

chasing dreams

everyone aspires to their own version of the 'white picket fence' dream. maybe we all don't yearn for 2.5 kids, a manicured lawn and a 4 bedroom house, but we all have a particular idea of how we'd like to live our grown-up life, and it keeps us doing what we do every day.

As I read your text and look at the photo, I notice one of the google adds: "Electric fencing W/Cape...", fitting very fitting.

As for the dream, it's good to have objectives or aspire to something that can bring some inner peace or sense of achievment, the problem is when we loose the ability to notice the beauty around us, when we hurry and push our way towards the dream, just like donkeys with a carrot, sometimes even forgetting to grow up. I see a whole lot of immaturity around me everyday, coming from people older than me most times, maybe they are not happy with what they do everyday, maybe they still chasing the dream, maybe the dream isn't what they expected. Live life slowly, take it in, enjoy it...

"A little Indian brave who before he was ten,
Played war games in the woods with his Indian friends
And he built up a dream that when he grew up
He would be a fearless warrior Indian Chief
Many moons past and more the dream grew strong until
Tomorrow he would sing his first war song and fight his first battle
But something went wrong, surprise attack killed him in his sleep that night

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually"
