Kalingala Island forms part of a cluster of islands on Lake Victoria called the Ssese islands; it is the largest of about 3000 islands. It is slap bang in the middle of the equator. The lake itself links Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

    strange to imagine that Uganda was (or am I wrong) the country with that massive violations of human rights...

    this is just too serene (did I just use this word)... so calm... i suppose it was worth 'fighting' for...

    i guess it's true for all of Afrika. it's been through so much that it's sheer beauty tends to shock.
