1989 -- school trip to what was then the Eastern Transvaal
We roadtripped most of the usual spots: Pilgrim's Rest, and God's Window
We went abseiling, river rafting, "panning for gold" -- amazing roadtrip!
it was an old mik en druk camera -- don't even know the make
*clearly i still have a great love for landscapes, atmospheric perspective, vistas

that's a long time ago — I actually think there are no photographs of me, between 1985 and 1992.
pilgrim's rest! ye, i remember going on a school trip there too in a golden arrow bus, standard three i think it was. we learnt about the voortrekkers. i never asked whose land they were trekking on.
