U getting there for real, the fellas at 500px.com have mastered the technique. Please share the basics behind this one good sir

Shmoove, as you can tell our journey starts in PsCS5, pen tool, cut out subject. Find a nice background with colors and exposure close to your subject, do the matching, if it aint working find another background, which is key.

Adjustments are discretionary here...blend mode, exposure matching, adjust color vibrance, sharpen as necessary, remove blemishes and merge all layers, then pop Red Giant Software if you have under Filters, add flare to a color of your choosing and make adjustments and position the flare accordigly...like my one looks like the sun popping by the tree, move to Imagenomic if you have, under filters as well, i like to work with custom settings there...i reduce blur to zero and sharpening to minimum...i keep playing about, back and forth till i get what i want.

Of course this does not have to be a strict process done in this way, its pretty intuitive for me, my workflow is hard to explain.
