Advertising — Succession Planning.

an article.

Hello,

I am sure some of you have noticed the Google Ads next to the photographs, before I get swatted with rotting tomatoes, let me tell you what the people at 2LMN said:

We, 2LMN, realise the importance of this project and in doing so, we need to ensure that this project, lives on, beyond whatever may happen to lebogang nkoane.  As you may know, the cost and maintenance of this project (and others) is done by lebogang nkoane (through labour).

So, this project needs to be self sustaining, that is to say: it should no longer require lebogang to inject capital to keep it moving. We are then hoping through the Google ads, some pocket change revenue can be generated and thus keep the server alive until-until infinity and beyond.

*phew speaking in the 3rd person is hard, especially that PR lingo, :-)

So, there you have it — do know that these ads will run for at least a month, we are assessing what kind of revenue they generate, if they can cover the basic costs of running the site then they will stay — but a lil' birdie told me that 2LMN is plotting to build its own Advertising Network, so they might not stay long.

Your thoughts? Your objections? I have tried to keep 'em minimal and unobtrusive (which would be counter intuitive, with respect to what advertising is); but there is no room for bad design.

*aside: I have noticed that some of the ads are actually quite valuable (I didn't know Orms had a website), although those Absa Life Cover ones are quite annoying!

1ove, movement.
