perfect moment! -- memories of when I was a child and Malome Khutso would collect us from khata-mazambani (Carter Primary School, Alexandra Township) when it rained --- he'd make us run through the rain --- and as a child, I would want to give up and walk through it.
I actually enjoyed being rained on, when I was a child.

indeed. perfection. we used to wade through the water lebogang. we had to walk on foot from Roma (Immaculata) in Zone 2 Diepkloof and to the busses ko Bara to catch a bus to Molapo (home). there was this massive ditch that we would take off our shoes and socks and walk through the long grass, and duck weed. it's a wonder we didn't get bilharzia. the rain was grand. the itch when you were starting to get dry -- not so much. my dog doesn't like the rain -- it means she can't play.
