And, a new journey, begins. I feel like I'm 11 years old, and I've just been introduced to LOGO, and finally I understand how it all works, I feel like it's 1988.

I now, understand, why Daniel was asking if we still use jpeg. RAW is the new black.

So, what I'll be doing barring, I don't get inter(net)rupted, I'm starting off a new-collection, called 'Self Mutilation'. I don't have willing subjects, besides myself to play around with this RAW format, hey van goch(f7) cut his ear off right?

ps: this is probably the only photograph in the public domain where I am actually holding a cigarette.

    this looks like darked out solitary confinement cell with the dim light coming from that little gap called a window at the top. The only connection to the externals!

    aside: I think "The Externals" sounds like a good name 4 a band, but thats just me.

    Dats You ... U wouldnt say . . .

    Dope ...

    !

    ... but RAW is huge unless you mean using JPEG format while shooting dat I'll understand but even then We use an EOS 50 with a 2 gig memory card ... with RAW you have only maby 28 pics but with JPEG you have more or less 88 pics ... but I do understand the quality in it ... This proves it ... Then I'm on it as soon as I buy a mobile computer ...

    daniel

    Don't forget, memory cards are stupid cheap now. I shoot (when i'm forced to use digital on a Canon 1dmkIIN and with my 2gb card i get 140+ raw files each being 8mb each)

    Now that's not bad surely?

    JPEG on the other hand means i would loose fine detail due to the JPEG compression applied, i would also loose all the ability to edit that image in post processing using the power of RAW

    RAW = Digital Negative
    JPEG = Post Processed/pulled/tweaked/coloured/whatever image

    Choose your poison, I want the original file all the time

    ps.. this is a tight portrait boss, seriously!!

    Love Black and White shot like this!!!!!!
