    You know what's interesting about 75 for me is the general time-line associated with when people take pictures. It's often before work and after, and associated with that time-slot are the sunrise/sunset images.

    Doesn't anyone go out on the weekend and discover new areas?

    12 Hours, surely you jest? (not sure what that phrase means, but I love how it sounds).

    I sleep at most 6 hours a day --- and work the rest of the other times --- in summer, things will change.

    BUT, Alexandra Township, doesn't inspire me at all --- too much clutter, colour --- too chaotic --- I am but, a minimalist. ---

    *ps: the apple keyboard is noice (wish I could type for ever)

    For me, the power of 75 is the ability of everyone to show me stuff I'd never have the chance to see. Show me your life, show me something that a foreigner should see, you get what I mean?

    Today I spent 7 hours driving around the Durban Harbour, for my series on People of Durban, and it was damn good. Get out with the camera and shoot.

    The keyboard is sexy huh?

    Actually, I met Rudzani yester(day/night) --- I was telling him I need a 'second' camera --- there is a 'book on Alexandra I am putting together --- but I wanna go 'film' with that book --- my only film-capable camera is in Durban (with a cuz o' mine) --- so I'm looking to 'acquire' another, what do you recommend, barring in mind that I have 'limited' budget (nothing over 8 grand) --- and I should be able to 'get away' ;-) quickly with it.

    Yep, the keyboard is meant to be used by fingers --- responsive to touch --- almost erotic, almost.

    Man you have a world awaiting you. I'd personally say look at getting a medium format camera.

    I have my dads Nikon 2FAS and it's such a lovely camera to use.

    please explain medium format --- it's that 120mm thingy magic (i feel i done lost something here, huh?)

    lets say, I got with medium format (although i don't know what that be) --- what you recommend?

    hmmm, did some 'ooglin' ---- now i know what medium format is --- I will go to the 'Kameraz' in rosebank and speak to 'em 'about that --- and see what second/first hand 'equipment they recommend.

    Kameraz is a good place, they sell loads of second hand stuff. Best bet is to look for a Yashica, or a Mamiya 645.

    It's all down to what you want to achieve. I personally love medium format, it works well with my style and I love getting that large negative back

    Oh, yeah --- I love that Mamiya (i keep saying Mamamiya in my head) --- I am sold (assuming I can get one a decent price).

    and if Rudzani is right --- all I will need is a 'dark bedroom', ;-) to do my own processing/developing.

    If it's black and white, it's piss easy to develop. If it's C41/E6 (colour), it's a LOT harder and the chemicals are a pain in the ass to mess with.

    There are a few labs in jozi that can sort you out though, so don't fret.
