My mother used to say two things constantly to me, when I was in standard 1 (grade 3, I think), and they are:
Never comb your hair backwards (ala push-back), it will affect how you think.
and
Always wear your pants first, just in case you gotta run outside, don't want to be caught out there with just a shirt on.
The latter I, still, follow --- I don't comb my hair at all.
