Before

Before

Yep, reached my 'cooking' milestone --- managed to grill (or is it roast) lamb, but most importantly I made my first marinating sauce.

After (this lamb got cooked)

konyana ya modimo! Nothing beats S.A meat.... In the past week I had the guts to visit the Nairobi meatmarket...arggggggggggh the place stunk I nearly hurled. Seems fish and chicken poisin the weak hey... I mean pple there just sold fish & chicken in the blazing heat, no fridge and ish and it stunkbigtime.. In general most East and West African states dont know how to cook, I've had good memories of Kenya b4 but my last trip was ish... My guide would be the Pizza garden[well order the Pizza not the meet platter], Carnivores[Lamb, Chicken, Ostrich, Pork]. Don't buy from the Steers, Pizza Inn Is cool, Java Coffe House is cool, Buy your liquor from Nakumatt or Uchumi, don't be misled by any local their food is S H I T period. Try speak swahili no twag else u get ripped-off indefinately..

abe in general it is wise not to make statements like east and west africans dont know how to cook such statements are what make south africans resented in many places across africa - the implied sense of being better than everyone else - it may not be said outright but its implied even in ur statement - rather say their cooking is not to our taste, be careful wot u say.
