I can't help but think that the rainbow in your image looks like it's sinking. Much like our own rainbow.

Here's a piece on the Protection of Information bill that I quite liked.

… and it's fading away into obscurity.

ta for the link — we need to spread this message far and wide: everybody.

Since the comments on this image are already quite political, I thought I'd do some shameless self-promotion and link to my recent blog post about this whole censorship shebang. http://www.dreamfoundry.co.za/archives/2127

My apologies if this upsets any patriots, but I guess I'm just mad at how things are going.

  7. Diaan

Actually, scrap that apology... any TRUE patriot would oppose this press tribunal with all their might.

  8. lebogang nkoane

True. Although, I tread lightly with that word "patriot": many a crimes are done under that name.

Alas, these are times to take up arms (well verbal ones) and be heard. These are times to be angry. These are to be, ahem, citizens of this republic. To part take. To do all those things we creatives express through our work.

No need for an apology for an expression of self — which is one of things at stake.

I agree with you LN, I steer away from any symbols of nationalism or patriotism, the xenophobic attacks (that by the way are still hapenning) are a good example.
@ Diaan: I enjoyed checking your foundry, especially "let the debate begin", he looks like Bob, scary... we can't keep on shaking our heads and expect for some divine intervention to change the way things are going, every step we take on the wrong direction is a jump into the abyss, the gravity of the situation won't allow us to jump back to where we were before, we'll have to climb...
