Today a handful of UCT students showed support for the Abahlali baseMjondolo activists who were killed in Durban recently. The movement aims to improve the living conditions of poor people and democratise society from below. It is unfortunate that such a creative and organised civil society organisation is not being supported but rather repressed by the state and it would seem the ANC (as the leading party in that area and the Province).
