break on thru to the otherside*

(*Borrowing from 'The Doors')

the other day unthinkingly i reffered to my religious beliefs as shackles. as much as i feel inclined to rethink the beliefs i hold (re. religion) they're so ingrained, that alternatives to religious doctrine seem implausible

Your tags seem to imply that your mind has been made up, unless you are of two minds about it. Conflict resolution of this kind requires honesty and a keen sense of self. Know where your feet are and where you would have them stand.

    Word up ,yo.

    Peace.

Thanks for the insightful comments. @ Nappy Head its funny but sometimes its so difficult to be a unitary self, we have so many selves... (what was behind http://75.co.za/lyndal/2010/08/18) so yeah conflict resolution is definitely necessary to navigate these selves but maybe more than that is the need for a sense of critical self-acceptance (?) ...The title is not so much saying that I want to lose my beliefs but giving myself the freedom to re-imagine what these are/ and not be afraid to be critical of doctrine.

@ Khumbelo: Hmm will put up one with more light : )
