hustling isn't stealing.

hustling isn't stealing.

one can take a bus from nyc to other places at quite a reduced rate. the whole "industry"/rank is controlled by some of the toughest women ive ever seen. from sunrise to sunset, winter to summer, one can hear them hollering at the top of their voices for you to take their bus. i spoke to one of these ladies some time ago and she told me of the hardships of such labour. (some of them do this with while taking care of their kids). nonetheless, even with very limited english (and other languages spoken daar), they hold together a somewhat informal but well organized system that reminds me of the tenacity of people (especially women) like them at home.

* my apologies for the invasion of privacy - i did not get the name of the lady in this pic.
