...its this thing now...drivin' me wild...

1st was the dream to capture moments-later blessed by gifts of resources to do such-next came the pleasure of new prints new shots new faces news places stories-in searching to share was found a picture of a boat by a brother from home snapping home in pleasing ways-and with that an invitation to meet other snappers in a haven of expression freedom and exhibition-until

one snappers told to limit that freedom of expression while exhibiting-and instead take assignments to please singular masses so as to be accepted and validated in a singular world of no sunsets-

75 comes with tags and tags give extra life to vibrant everyday stories captured through lenses of all kinds-thankfully we are safe to watch and agree or not-but this haven of -im just a khemera.man darkened for just a second when the sunset was covered by clouds of slander and instructions directed to all who cant help but look up-

and snap

just what they feel

because sometimes one of the many of us does such that-and other times we look down sideways and even upside down challenging the laws of physics and social structure-from the sun we travel the world holding the photographers hand-no place bigger or better than the next-

-and no 75ers opinion better than the rest-

-there is no other photograph no other subject matter no other sunset and no other 75er than the one the finger and the mouse chose for the screen and the eyes-

-where then would the limitations stop should we embark on demanding subject matter (by use of slander): no more b&w?portraits?skylines?water?fashion shoots?shoes?foreigner?foreign places?

------there is no better photography than this because this is it-

-and chosen by the 75er.

those are words in the enchanting solo when an african woman ululates... you miss them if you cannot tune in to her pulsating frequency

    alilililiiiiii....

She looks like she has someone hanging on a thread waiting to hear if she'll go steady with them... I love it!

  5. Juxtapose

  6. NguJaz

such a vibrant image for such heavy thoughts

this space -- space to represent, to debate: is fortunately not a space for visual prescription (the laying down of normative visual rules) there is no doctrine about photographic/artistic sovereignty over this territory as far as I know

    resistance is eminent no?

  7. noidSyStems

    helele . . .

    my dear watson

I suspect that there might be a misunderstanding between those that were @ Gin and those that were not @ gin re: sunsets and the use of the term dope(.r)

I may be wrong, but then again, I'm not really Sherlock Holmes

    brilliant shot!
    lightstalker
LD this whole project is becoming frighteningly insular- CAREFUL!
  17. lebogang nkoane
    Careful?

I thought you said this project is becoming 'a vanity project', now why would I want to be careful, if by that action alone, it means I'd be 'pushing' forth my own, agenda?

*leaves project alone, with or without insular (yeah, I googled this word, too), meditates.

    i love you guys!

    very entertaining.
its quite amazing how the conflict, the friction, becomes more important than the message (which is virtually the same when not confused by verbosity and emotive language). We love the friction!

but i do believe you all want the same thing.

don't get angry. revel in the opportunity to share what little or great you can.

oh, and appreciate the moments others have shared.

those who want to 'up the game' should do so.

those who don't feel the need to do so should not. just as people have the right to take pictures of endless sunsets, others have the right to challenge that right.

an inspiring defense of sunsets this was though.
