was requested by dennis (on the right), an iraq war veteran, to take a photograph of him and his friend, bruce, a vietnam war veteran-both incredible men.  they were very happy and agreed to be featured on 75, specifically asking what people elsewhere thought of americans and the wars.

    as though they're on the back-end of a long sigh -- at least that's how dennis appears.

    i guess that's what happens when you've experienced war. you know what matters, the rest is just ... exhausting

    what i think about American wars : they always can be avoided, funny things is that thy never bring peace either - bottom line i think that they are futile

    Great pic.

    I don't think Americans understand the heavy-handedness of their foreign policy, and how much resentment it breeds in the rest of the world.

    I love America. And I have met and made some fantastic friends from the US, and all over the world.

    But I detest its inclination to police the world.

    Sadly neither Vietnam, nor Iraq provide much scope for sympathy for veterans like Dennis and Bruce.
