The Great Buzz

The Great Buzz

As I walked my way through the tree lined street of my neighbourhood, I heard a great buzz. A beehive in a cavity in a giant eucalyptus tree.
This is one of favourite insect and it is said to be on the decline, couldn't ignore this faithful worker. These pollinators play a important role in food production.

This one of my first HDR photo, advice/opinions will be apperciated.
I know some 75ers are well versed in HDR.

… I can see the 'side-effects' of HDR: if you look at the — uhm, what are those things called that bees need to sit on to pollinate the flower/plant — you can spot the "over-extended-pixels".

Secondly, for an HDR, I would have expected to see the "dynamic range" where almost every thing is well lit (as the eye sees it): the detail of the bee, background, etc.

I'd suggest, you try HDR on a building or a landscape shots — they tend to provide a better 'learning' ground.

Aside: how many shots did you use?

I thought as much, you mean the stamen of the flower.
Noticed the pixels, but thought its with posting.

Malebo for the advice and I shall be posting one with "dynamic range" soon.

    I used three shots.
