One Sunday afternoon my two cousins and i went for a stroll around a new estate/neighbourhood, we found this site full of construction machinery and the likes. I absolutely Love heavy industrial sites and was very pleased to have brought my camera with!
There isn't much of a story here, i actually instructed them to sit there =] for the photo.
Look like two girls. Was it cold?
Title is postmodern. A paradox.
So is the caption. Instructing them what to do, creates a scenario in which you envision a narrative of sorts. This may be subconscious or conscious.
Just a postmodern interpretation maybe?
My initial intention was to take photographs of the sentient objects all around the area, but seeing as they were frolicking all over the place i decided to add them to the canvas. i reckon the picture would've looked dull without them. I may have envisioned a narrative, and if so, it definitely was then subconscious. though, my memory fails me.
If i remember correctly, it was one of those South African winter days. The sun was scorching, and so was the wind.
