Therein lies my problem with 'studio photography' — for a specific objective/concept yeah sure studio photography is the best place to (re-)create what you want to get … but as you said: "capturing and preserving moments of real life forever" — studio photography ain't it.
Most of those photographs seem to be 'captured' (and heavily treated) to 'create' that 'emotional' response from the observer — but being that I lack emotion (yes, several women have said this to me), I wasn't moved by any o' 'em.
