Mokokoma I'd say instead of 'A for Apple', we just say 01 February: the letter 'A'; so it could be anything that is 'starts with the letter A'.
e.g.: A: airport; aircon; apple; angry; atmosphere; airplane; aunty; aloof; e.t.c;
