Inspiration?

a note.

Quick question?

Is one's photography supposed to inspire self?

I seem not to enjoy or find pleasure in any of the photographs I've taken in the last 2-4 weeks.  Even the process itself is no longer inspiring.

Strangely I enjoy other peoples photography (saw a Mariam Makeba photography tribute-thingy-magic: there is a photograph there I'd sell my left/lung for), but I am still not inspired?

What does one do to regain that inspiration? Semi-retire? Seek inspiration from other art/forms/of/expression? Try a different camera, style or leave imagery and dive into 'written' word?

or does this mean an end to my obsession with light? arggg.

*sigh

We do photography, because we love the image, the moment, the light.

Sometimes, we get lucky, and everything just falls into place. The image. The moment. The light.

Other times, like life, it becomes a chore. Mundane. But that's most likely our problem, no-one else's.

Life lived in the moment, or not.

Often times, it is the tension between our fear of the future, pain of the past ... and our dreams untold, successes celebrated ... that keeps us from living in the moment.

    'Let it find you.'

    That's good advice ...
