I can't say I like the guy's style, but I like the idea. Been considering it myself.

While cool, not my style.

I had a look at the web sites... seems like a really cool concept. And by the looks of there is only 1 other group from South Africa participating... Come on guys lets do it as a 75 collective, it will be more interesting than doing it as an individual!! I mean all of use can take (or have) some really great b&W portraits!! I'm in... Who is with me????
Check out what some others have done:

Nice!!!! Sheri... I'd really like to do this with the 75 collective.
Im really amped for a 75 collective... I also work at a company that has a large format printing section and could organise to have the photos printed as wall papers or canvas's at a discounted rate. Maybe Mr lebogang nkoane can sign us up for it???
I signed up a few months ago. If you guys don't mind... i can set everything up.
I am totally up for it!!!! Sign us up.... And I'm sure others will join in!
Otherwise we can have a 2 person collabo... LOL!
Cool. Let me compile a list of what we need and we can make it happen.

Excellent article. I too more pixels after reading the article, then again i guess it depends what and how i use my photos. At this stage my photography would be more inclined to the "Pixels Don't Matter" theory. But because of growth & experimenting my photography seems to change periodically so i'll stick with more pixels to be on the safe side.

I feel im at a stage where they dont matter, all that matters is the story that I'm still finding ways to tell.

I shoot a lot of fashion, color and pixels are everything, esp since editing and retouching diminishes/reduces the picture quality.
So pixels are welcome, anyone care to buy me a hasselblad? Its only around R300 000.00

Megapixels... bah humbug. Real photographers shoot on film. ;)
Uno
@Jeff: I wish those guys at Hasselblad could make prettier cameras, those things are offensive to people with any glimpses of a design aesthetic sensibility... they've got great technology though...
@Diaan: What is a "Real" photographer?
As for the whole megapixel discussion and the article I feel that most camera manufacturers are still trying too hard to make digital cameras too tied to the film camera technology and mindset and haven't explored enought the potential of new ways in photography.
I think this happens because it still sells very well, probably because cramming a camera with megapixels is the no brainer and cheapest way of coming up with new camera models every year so that people run to the shops to impress their friends with 2 extra megapixels...
I love film and I love digital and I don't think they should be compared, they're two different mediums and as such they should be left alone to follow their own paths. Choosing one over the other shouldn't make it more or less real.

Uno, that was a joke, hence the ;).
