Lala ngoxolo

This concert was phenomenal. She said it was her last official public performance, and that she was open to 'private/ intimate gatherings'.  Her granddaughter also sang, she was beautiful.

I've had these pics for two years, and could never show them because I thought they were so bad. But I hope today we can overlook that.

    I got thinking on friday (whilst watching abdullah ibrahim perform at the wits great hall) about what would happen if we lost him, mama afrika, bra hugh and jonas gwangwa. In my reckoning they are as good as it gets on a universal scale. I kept thinking that we have not had that many musicians to take up that mantle.

    I did not expect to think about it again so soon thereafter...
