    is it the same with other cities outside of joburg? and you do think there is one all defining national visual identity?

    @kool*one...polokwane is on this tip, so is welkom, somerset east, detroit is not...
    while i think it is possible to have a one defining visual national id, i dont think south afrika has one right now. the possibility of one therefore is intriguing for me

    mr hlasane: interesting...though i find it rather perturbing, the ANC-nisation of national monuments [hospitals, schools, statues, street names], solely as a cause to engender the idea of the struggle or national revolution as one that it holds supreme copyright of image over...and therefore history...

    safe to say i´ll be there, if time permits...
