Flying in one of those bumpy small planes between Jo'burg and Polokwane has its rewards. It was quite dark below the clouds but above it was a beautiful fluffy capert. Then the sun came through.

You know, my best moments in an airplane, are during decent at around sunset, as the sun cuts through the clouds, the most 'visibly' solid objects, the clouds, are in reality not so solid. (not self, learn to write, without commas)
In short, I've seen this 'shot' so many times, in as much as it excites me to to see it, at the same time it means, my journey (as in being in airplane) is about it end.

Thanx Lebogang. I don't know if you are like me. I usually pack my camera where I can not get to it when photo opportunities presnt themselves. Like you I like the decent time for the same reason (maybe also for the illusion that we have much less chance to crash) but I have rarely have my camera with me and when I do, it is inconvenient to use because it is packed away. I was lucky to have my camera out on this day.
