It is said that when the maiden Arachne, claimed to be a better weaver than, Athena, to punish her for her presumption, the goddess turned into a spider, from whence come the words, arachnida, arachnid, archnophobia,etc. My atempt at being arty like the rest of you guys. Taken a few days ago in Alfriston.

I can believe that Athena would be in any way jolted by Arachne. She is afterall the goddess of love. No better weaver than that!
