Sometimes I am awed by the cycle of life that Peter Seeger sings of when I see rivers. Ecclesiatesn 1:7
All the rivers flow into the sea,
Yet the sea is not full.
To the place where the rivers flow,
There they flow again.

Ru, err, please elaborate the (where/what) abouts* of about how you got this texture?

real "moment" in time.
looks "alive"
classic!
yes yes yes
the graininess does it for me
I have no darkroom as a result I can not shoot on my favourite Kodak Tri X which is grainy. I don't know how to use photoshop. But because I use Picasa for ease of album management, I have realised that it has some simple functions that are quite handy - like the film grain function here. The photo already had a sense of graininess about it. I deliberately went close to the wall (Tower Bridge - London) which had an ancient look about it. Balck and white seemed the natural option.
...and you killed it once again. too ill.
!
yes, the wall sets up that feel. funny thing about the eye.
