Origin and Ash

Origin and Ash

It so happens that I am tired of being a man.It so happens that I walk into the tailor shops and theaters all shriveled up, impenetrable, like a felt swan navigating on a water of origin and ash.                                                              - Pablo Neruda

Neruda was a genius, Makhaya. He was amazing. A great gift, first to the Spanish world, then to the world too.

Neruda... is one of my all time favorites.... 'I want to do with you what Spring does with the cherry trees...' my favorite line... this photo's phenomenal

I've been meaning to get my hands on Neruda & Vallejo... I guess I now know what my weekend line-up is.

For me sepia tones have not only historical associations. Beyond the idea of time and ageing, sepia colour to the imagination- black is a dusty shadow, white is stained light. you search for the fleeting highlights and details in the furthest corners of the frame.
i.e. I could look at this pic forever!

    nice one.
