Point of view

(I am too lazy to scan negatives, so I am going to interupt my looking back series.)Yesterday I was touched by a friend's words when she pointed out that "once you are dead, you are dead". Today I wondered whether after the buffaloe comes to terms with the fact that it has died it should feel honoured to be feeding the vultures.

You know, a long time ago, when I was worried about my legacy and what I will leave behind (for the record, I don't care about my legacy anymore) --- a thought hit me: when you are dead, you won't have the chance to 'think/reflect'.

I agree with your friend, once you are dead, you are dead. What I think I find interesting is though, is the process itself, mentally that is --- what goes through one's mind when the end is eminent.

ps: I think the buffalo would be happy, not sure 'bout honoured --- your ashes to ashes, dust to dust, type thing.

me thinks if i was a buffalo i'd be really pissed if my carcass werent picked on my a gang of vultures (what's the proper term for a group of vultures? *feeling like i should know this).
I'd be insulted if it were left to rot. Insulted!

Someone tried to convince me that all scavengers move in "a pack" According to Wikipedia thou, a group of vultures is called a "venue" and when circling in the air it is called a "kettle" Go figure.

@ ru - then wudn u say ur pic proves that?

A colony sounds appropriate. When you consider what it means.
    A kettle?!
