I have to confes I have never really managed to photograph this baobaob despite numerous attempts. It is reputed to be over 3 500 years old, 45 meters in diameter. If what they say is true, then its roots go five kilomter away and a kilometer deep in search of water.

oh, part of the fascination with the Baobab is how long they get to live. Imagine that 3500 years in one position. Through rain, sleet, summer, winter, wars, civilisations, centuries — it is zen like.
